The Packages
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Regulation 7) require employers to appoint ‘one or more competent persons' to help them to meet their duty to control risks at work and comply with health and safety law. Put simply, this means that every employer must appoint someone to advise them on health and safety matters. This could be someone in-house or an external consultant. To be competent, the nominated person must have sufficient training, knowledge and experience to understand the requirements and prohibitions imposed by current health and safety law.
Our Appointed Safety Advisor Service provides that ‘competent person’ to your business. We are able to provide ongoing support for those who do not employ a health and safety professional, or additional support to those employers who already have existing in-house expertise.
The aim of this service is to enable your business to have its own dedicated Health & Safety Advisor, to provide full professional support for your business, without the expense of employing your own safety staff. Your Advisor will be retained for 12 months, providing ongoing support and a designated Health and Safety Consultant to be called upon, as and when required.
There are three packages to choose from, depending on the level of service you are looking for. However, we understand that every organisation is different and so if you are looking for something different to the standard packages, please contact us and we shall provide a competitive quotation based on your specific requirements.
