Fire Marshal Training Course

Bristol City Centre

Wednesday 22nd September 2010, 9:30am-1:00pm

Fire Marshals (also known as Fire Wardens) are members of staff who take charge during a fire emergency. Their role involves the safe evacuation of the building (staff, visitors, contractors, public); helping those with mobility issues; the use of fire extinguishers; and communicating with the emergency services. The law requires businesses to have emergency plans in place, as well as competent persons to assist with those plans, i.e. Fire Marshals.

To be competent, it is vital that Fire Marshals receive training before they start the role and then at regular intervals thereafter (at least once every 2 years). Remember, you must have sufficient number of Fire Marshals to cover all areas of your premises, taking account of holidays, sickness or staff turnover, so make allowances for this when deciding how many people require training.

Our half-day course will provide all the information and training required to undertake the role of Fire Marshal within your workplace.
